The company is private non-profit making entity which operates as a reference centre for the innovation and comprehensive development of mechatronic and energetic products. It was founded in 1974 and it conducts business from its registered head office which is strategically located in Arrasate/Mondragon, Spain. The company innovates in design and production processes. It has over 30 years of experience in combining and applying mechanics, electronics, computing, microtechnology and fuel cell technologies. Moreover, the company works closely with companies to improve their competitiveness, through the application of technological knowledge to develop innovative products and new tools and methodologies for implementation in design and production processes. The company is a collaborating member of Mondragon Unibertsitatea and a member of IK4 Research Alliance. Further, it is also a member of the Basque Science and Technology Network, Innobasque, and of the Spanish federation of Innovation and Technology Entities, Fedit.
