The company, founded in 1957, is engaged in the design, production and distribution of presses, complete stamping systems, sheet-metal cutting and processing lines, dies and specialised systems for the production of metal parts for household appliances. Its head office is located in Arrasate-Mondragon, Spain. It is one of the world leaders in manufacturing steel and aluminium cutting lines. The company markets four brands: Fagor, Ona Pres, Proin, and Gamei. It is a world reference in the design and construction of presses and stamping systems. It builds both mechanical and hydraulic presses, with capacities of between 630 kN and 150,000 kN. It is a world specialist in the design and manufacture of sheet metal cutting and processing lines, as well as in systems for manufacturing tubes and rollformed steel. It manufactures cutting lines for processing coils with widths of up to 2,500 mm and thicknesses of between 0.05 mm and 30 mm. It is also a world specialist in the design, assembly and adjustment of machines, lines and equipment for the manufacture of parts for household electrical appliances, metal furniture and construction. It designs, installs and regulates all types of machines, lines, and equipment specializing in the manufacture of parts for refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, cookers, small household appliances, etc, and also for special parts for metal furniture, construction, and the electrical industry. For all of these, the company integrates different punching, folding, profiling, welding, clinch fastening and other technologies, together with their corresponding automatisms. The company designs, tests and obtains parts with different types of dies and delivers them to customers together with their quality report for their approval. It possesses five production and assembly plants. Four of these plants are located in Spain, while the other one is located in China. The company has sales offices in Spain, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Chile, China, France, Germany, India, Iran, Mexico, Portugal, Russia, Sweden, Turkey, Ukraine, the United States, and Venezuela. It is part of Mondragon Corporación Cooperativa (MCC), the largest business group in the Basque Country and the seventh largest in Spain.
